Homeopathic Consultant and Healer
What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a form of holistic medicine used by over 200 million people worldwide to treat both acute and chronic conditions. It is based on the principle of
‘like cures like’ – in other words, a substance taken in small amounts will cure the same symptoms it causes if it was taken in large amounts.
Homeopathic medicines are manufactured using a process combining serial dilution and succussion (vigorous shaking). Homeopathic medicines are perfectly safe to use for babies, children and pregnant or breastfeeding women, who are under the supervision of a medically-qualified practitioner, Plants and Animals.
Homeopathy and the NHS
The three NHS homeopathic hospitals have been a part of the NHS since it began in 1948.
They currently treat tens of thousands of patients per year who are referred by GPs, PCTs
and NHS specialists.
GPs and Homeopathy
In the UK there are over 400 GPs practising homeopathy who are regulated by the GMC and are members of the Faculty of Homeopathy. They treat around 200,000 NHS patients per year with homeopathy. GPs are able to refer NHS patients to qualified and regulated homeopaths and most private health insurance companies and cash-plans consider homeopathic treatment a good investment.
